Show Notes: March 5, 2012

In this episode of  Syndicating your content we are going to talk about podcasting. Wikipedia defines a podcast as a type of digital media consisting of an episodic series of files (either audio or video) subscribed to and downloaded through web syndication. The word is a neologism derived from “broadcast” and “pod” stands for “play on demand”, as podcasts are often listened to on portable media players

Podcasting can be a very easy, enjoyable way to get more content for your site and give your business, and message a much wider reach. Podcasting can increase your online visibility and brand you as an expert in your field. Did I mention it was easy?

In this episode you’ll learn about what podcasting is, how you’d use it and why you’d want to podcast.

Podcasting helps your business and message in so many ways. It’s

  • portable, can be taken anywhere and listened to at any time
  • doesn’t require any broadcast medium, including the internet, once it’s downloaded
  • allows you to reorder, or rearrange, the programming
  • still completely unregulated
  • a goodwill tool
  • easy!

Are you podcasting yet? If not, check out Blog Talk Radio and let me know what you think.
