I had the distinct pleasure of interviewing Helen Blanchard, author of Breaking The Ice, about her book and her journey to becoming Toastmasters International’s first female President.
I was mesmerized by her journey through life and found, after reading her book, she was a trailblazer from the start. Entering the workforce when women traditionally stayed at home to care for their families, she had to break down barriers with the men she trained.
It’s a fascinating read, and paralells the movement for women’s rights. I hope you enjoy the interview, and if you do, please share your comments!
